Story about the scar on my knee

When I was in fifth grade I woke up with a bug bite on my knee and didn’t think much of it until it kept growing every day for a week. It got so bad that it turned into a blister that covered 3/4ths of my knee. Eventually, I went to the doctors and they were not sure what it was but ultimately said they thought it is a spider bite and prescribed me medicine to heal it. It went away but I was left with a big pale scar on my knee that has now faded.

Hi, my name is Olivia Caravello and I am an undergraduate female student at Texas Christian University. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology, on the pre-med track. Since coming to college I have been interested in learning more about the inequalities that women in STEM face every day. Therefore, I want to help spread awareness and educate all college students about these injustices.
