An inside scoop on women in STEM at TCU

I found my community at college among my fellow women in STEM. I met them through STEM clubs and from our shared classes together. Despite only knowing each other for a year we have all grown close from studying for exams together and our shared trauma over stressful chemistry exams. I also spend the majority of the week with other women in STEM between 4-hour labs to 8 hours of worth of lectures each week. Then when we are not in class together, we are studying together in the library and go to STEM clubs like WISE, chemistry club, and AED.

Hi, my name is Olivia Caravello and I am an undergraduate female student at Texas Christian University. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology, on the pre-med track. Since coming to college I have been interested in learning more about the inequalities that women in STEM face every day. Therefore, I want to help spread awareness and educate all college students about these injustices.
