Directions to my Community

How I would tell someone to reach my community of women in STEM

If I were speaking to a random person on the corner of University and Berry St., I would give them directions to the academic side of campus but more specifically to the Sid Rich building. First, I would tell them to go down University, and when they reach Ampersand to keep going because they are on the right track. After that, I would tell them to continue straight past Winton Scott until they hit the founder's statue. At the founder’s statue, I would tell them to turn right and keep walking until they see a big ramp on their right side and to walk up that ramp. Once they walk up that ramp I would tell them they are in the Sid Richarson/Winton Scott courtyard and to turn left and go through the double doors to go into Sid Rich, the home of my community Women in STEM.

Hi, my name is Olivia Caravello and I am an undergraduate female student at Texas Christian University. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology, on the pre-med track. Since coming to college I have been interested in learning more about the inequalities that women in STEM face every day. Therefore, I want to help spread awareness and educate all college students about these injustices.
